Frederick K. Glick is Senior Counsel to the firm. After passing the bar in 1980, Fred formed a partnership with the Honorable Richard F. Harris, a long-time judge of the San Luis Obispo County Superior Court. Since then, Fred has developed a specialty in real estate transactions and litigation. His litigation experience includes condemnation actions, easement disputes, construction defect lawsuits, contract disputes and judicial foreclosure actions. He has also represented a number of real estate firms and national escrow and title companies in various litigation matters.
Fred's transactional experience includes the representation of clients in major real estate acquisitions and loan transactions on the Central Coast and throughout California. He has extensive experience with regard to the permitting process and in preparing the management documents for mutual benefit water companies Fred has been a member of the San Luis Obispo County Tax Appeals Board, and has successfully represented clients before the Tax Appeals Boards for San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and Riverside Counties. He has represented developers, land owners and other clients before the Coastal Commission, the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors, and the City Council for San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles and Pismo Beach. Fred also has experience in the representation of vintners, including the negotiation of the purchase of grape production.
Fred was raised in San Luis Obispo. He received his bachelor's degree in economics from Arizona State University. Before attending law school, Fred worked with his father as a farm and ranch broker for the Central Coast Land Company. Fred and his wife Sharon have two children, Katie and Jack, who are also lawyers.

Michael D. Haupt is a partner with the firm. His practice is focused heavily on business and contract disputes, disputes and litigation arising out of the development, purchase, sale, lease and finance of real property, surety claims and other construction-related matters, probate and trust litigation, title insurance claims, and a variety of other insurance-related disputes. Michael handles all aspects of litigation for his clients, including trial and appellate work in both state and federal courts throughout the Central Coast and the State of California. Michael also has extensive experience in resolving disputes on behalf of his clients through mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
In addition to his litigation and trial practice, Michael also is regularly involved in the negotiation and drafting of business and real estate transactions on behalf of his clients.
Prior to joining Glick Haupt Marino, LLP in 2008, Michael was a partner with a leading national law firm ranked in the “First Tier” of all U.S. law firms by U.S. News and Best Lawyers, where he practiced commercial litigation in the firm's San Francisco office and served as hiring partner.
Michael grew up in San Luis Obispo, attending both Old Mission School and Mission College Preparatory. Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree with High Honors from University of California at Santa Barbara, where he was a two-time recipient of the Big West Scholar-Athlete Award, and received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. During law school, Michael served as an editor on the Law Review and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Michael is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of California, the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern District Courts of California, as well as the Second and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Michael is also a member of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Directors from 2010-2014.

Prior to joining Glick Haupt Marino LLP, Beth was Vice President of Legal & Corporate Affairs of Santa Maria Energy, LLC, an independent, private energy company in Santa Barbara County, where she oversaw all corporate, regulatory and permitting, risk management, public and governmental affairs and human resource matters for the company.
From 2002 to 2011, Beth was a partner in the San Luis Obispo office of Andre, Morris & Buttery where she was a member of the Business and Real Estate Transactions and Employment Law Groups. Prior to joining Andre, Morris & Buttery, Beth was an associate with Keesal, Young & Logan at it's Long Beach office where she practiced in their Corporate & Real Estate and Employment Law Groups.
Beth specializes in business entity formation and counseling regarding day-to-day operations, compliance issues and dispute resolution; mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and dissolutions involving all forms of business entities; transactions involving the purchase, sale, leasing and operation of real estate; contract drafting and analysis; financing transactions, including both real and personal property secured lending, start-up capital and private placements; employment law counseling and compliance, including all aspects of human resources operations; and intellectual property protection.
Beth is active in the local business community and is currently serving as Director for the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, after previously serving as Board Chair (2008) and Board Counsel for the organization. She also currently serves as Chair of the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center Governing Board. Beth served as a member of the Board of Directors of Prado Day Center and was member of the Chamber-Cal Poly Economic Development Initiative focused on promoting a successful entrepreneurial ecosystem in San Luis Obispo. Beth also serves as a Board & Executive Committee Member of the San Luis Coastal Education Foundation.
In 2009, Beth was honored with a Female Achievers Award by the Central Coast Women's Network for using her professional knowledge and personal insight to make a difference for others.

Active in the local community, Sarah is a current board member of the Community Foundation of Estero Bay. She volunteered for several years at a San Luis Coastal school, and served as a room parent and as secretary of that school’s PTA. Sarah is a member of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association, and a member of the Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo County.
